Ride On Mower Castelgarden El63 (champion) 6/63 Petrol Electric Start

Champion 6/63 Mower this is a great mower for a small to medium gardens and it has the advantage of having a width that will fit through a standard gate opening. This mower is a Castelgarden El 63 these are sold badged by many different manufacturers such as Champion in this case, Mountfield etc. etc. Spares are readily available on the likes of Ebay, Amazon or via garden machinery suppliers. About the mower: First of all the mower functions as it ought to it has a 6hp 4 stroke Briggs and Stratton engine. The engine starts and runs well (see video link) it also cuts and collects the grass as it should. All the safety interlocks work as they were designed to, the tyres stay up and have good tread on them. It does not smoke and runs very quietly again see video. I have fitted a new blade clutch (£85) and a new blade bracket (these are designed to bend if you hit a solid object to protect the engine etc. Whoever had it before had obviously bent it they can be found for £5 online). The blade has been sharpened and has a lot of life left in it. I have included a picture of the clutch, blade etc. You will note that the deck has been repaired as it had rusted through at the rear, it should now be good for a good while yet especially if stored in dry conditions. It drives well and all the gears 3 forward and one reverse all work smoothly. It also has a new battery fitted, these machines also have a pull starter if required. The grass catcher is in good condition and can be emptied without leaving the seat. The brake works fine as well. Minus points are the plastic body has a chunk missing on one side, see photo, and there are a few cracks here and there but these do not affect the functioning of the mower, basically it looks a bit tatty here and there but it works. However I am willing to deliver up to a distance of 30 miles as measured on Google maps from my postcode NG23 6NX to whatever your postcode is. If you are just over this distance let me know and I will say if I can deliver. The cost of delivery is 50p per mile one way so for example if the distance is 20 miles one way ( your are 20 miles away) the cost is 20 x 50p - £10. The return journey is not charged. Delivery time/date is at my convenience. If I cannot deliver due to distance then there are lots of man with vans on Ebay who might be able to help. Obviously the mower is sold as is and as described, as I say anyone is welcome to come and have look or go, I am happy to let people cut my grass.
