Ride On Mower

Cracking medium sized garden mower, based on a Husqvarna model, but made under license by Craftsman (means cheaper parts!!) Bought new in 2009 and used once per week to mow around 2 acres (cuts about an acre an hour). Grass cutting reduced dramatically in 2012 to around an acre a month! Mower is fitted with tow ball and it is used a couple of times per month to move garden waste to a bonfire. Every thing works as it should. Just had a major annual service (serviced every year since purchase) costing £468 including two new front tyres. The 42 cutting deck has six height settings and comes with anti scalp wheels. There is no collector, though one can be purchased separately from online suppliers. Side discharge. This mower cuts very long grass if necessary (up to a months growth). Key permanently in ignition to avoid losing it - now won t come out - still turns to start the engine. Usually starts first time. Powerful 17.5hp engine (I ve known these tractors used to pull light aircraft from hangers at a local airfield!) Fully automatic controlled by hand leaver (no tired foot held in same position for an hour or more!) Good turning circle. Lights if needed (I have mown football pitches in the dark once or twice). Ignition can be set to enable mowing in reverse (most domestic mowers don t have this so as to reduce chances of an accident). Some surface rust on deck and dash facia, nothing serious.
