Powered by an ultra reliable MTD Thorx 55 H engine, this high performance four stroke unit offers a cylinder displacement of 179cc and develops an impressive 5.5hp. The engine uses the very latest overhead valve technology to ensure fuel consumption, exhaust emissions, noise and vibration are all kept at manageable levels. The low tone muffler further lessens engine noise, whilst the cast-iron crankshaft and dual element air filter work to significantly extend the engine life span. The tiller employs a worm-drive transmission, a premium feature which works to optimise torque transfer for superior tilling performance regardless of the soil conditions. It is fitted with six rotors, each with four sprung steel heat treated tines. For maximum working versatility, the machine offers the choice of three preset working widths, 12/24/32 (33/61/81cm) that make it possible to tackle a wide variety of tilling applications, both primary and secondary. The adjustable depth stake further improves the flexibility of use. Another key feature of the tiller is its high specification reduction type chain drive, which is housed within a permanently sealed gear casing for years of unwavering performance with no maintenance required. The foldable handlebar makes the tiller easy to store and can be height adjusted to suit the operator, whilst the front positioned transport wheel means you’ll have no trouble moving it to and from the plot.
