Mountfield Ride On Petrol Mower. Excellent Condition, Barely Used. Save £600

Featuring a Mountfield Series 5750 engine, hydrostatic/automatic transmission, electric key-start. It has a 66cm working width and 6 cutting heights from 30mm to 60mm. The 150 litre capacity grass collector can be emptied from the driving seat. (Cost £1499 New). I bought this mower from an elderly gentleman’s family as it was in excellent condition, hardly used (a few very light scuffs on the plastic bodywork) and it had just been serviced. My own home had been flooded and I was struggling whilst rebuilding the house to maintain my large lawn (I live in an Old Schoolhouse). I was delighted when the Ride-On was delivered. It started/drove easily however it quickly became apparent that as my lawn is so densely covered in moss the mower was going to struggle as it softly sank into the lawn because of the amount of moss, restricting the cutting blade (sadly my lawn is like a sponge, leaving deep footprints when I walk on it as there is so much moss – I live adjacent to open countryside and have little time to maintain my lawn to a high standard, other than to keep it neat), I would have to professionally de-moss my lawn however whilst still rebuilding my house after the flood I simply don’t have time to attend to the moss. I quickly went back to my Mountfield petrol push-mower which is obviously much lighter and can cope with the sheer amount of moss which unfortunately outweighs the grass! Rather than leave the Ride-On Mower parked in my garage it makes sense to sell it and let someone get the joy of mowing their lawn using a Ride-On rather than the slog which I have when cutting mine with my push-mower. I am gutted at having to sell it however it simply isn’t practical with the poor state of my lawn. I have photographed the mower to show how little used it is and the only signs of wear are a few light scuffs on the plastic bodywork. Offered For Sale for at £895 which is a saving of just over £600 from the New Price. It was delivered to me in a Transit Van and simply driven On/Off with wooden planks. Thanks for looking.
