B S’s Prime ‘n’ Pull technology ensures just the right amount of fuel is sent to the carburettor for dependable, flood-free starts. The Hayter Spirit 41 has a full-width ribbed rear-roller, which produces a pleasing striped effect, while also providing stability during edgework. It can be used with or without its 55-litre grass-catcher, depending on the conditions and it offers superior performance in terms of both cut and collection, thanks to it series of aero-dynamic front-mounted fins. Equipped with a seven-stage single-lever cutting-height range, which can be set as low as 13mm, the Hayter Spirit is capable of producing a beautifully close-cut formal finish. It has a cutter-bar friction disc which works to protect the crank should the blade strike a solid object and it’s built around a premium-quality aluminium skeleton chassis which provides a strong and durable cutting-platform that will not rust. The mower-deck on this model is lined with smooth ABS plastic for optimised under-deck airflow and reduced blade noise. The grass-collector is made from fabric, so it can be collapsed for storage and the wheels are mounted on ball-race bearings for smoother motion and improved longevity when compared to cheaper bush-mounted wheels. This mower is’ LIKE NEW’, which I purchased 3 years ago, it had only been used for a couple of months. The brake cable was defective and the grass bag was missing. I had the full intention of getting a cable and bag and then using it, but due to illness never did. It has been in the corner of my garage gathering dust ever since. I now need the space and have in the meantime obtained a power version of the mower and no longer require this one.
