Hayter Harrier 48 Lawnmower

We have graduated to a ride-on, so our faithful Harrier is up for sale. This is still a good workhorse, with sturdy construction on a cast aluminium chassis. The Briggs and Stratton engine starts readily on the key - especially as we have provided a larger than standard battery. There is some rust under the deck which could be inhibited and Hammerited, and the cutter blade could probably do with a grind or replacement. but the machine is by no means finished. It is self-propelled, with a large steel roller for stripes. The engine continues to drive the cutter when the hand lever is released, but wheel drive is stopped. As the shafts are foldable it will fit in an estate car when collected.(From near Newbury). Buyer may send courier to collect after payment is received.. Hayter has been a leading make for several years, famed for enduring quality. We are sorry to part with this one but it makes sense to move it on as we don t have much spare space.
