Suitable For Briggs and Stratton Side Valve Engines Engines: Classic, Sprint, Quattro 450, 500 and 550 Series engines with a Plastic filter box. For Machines with a metal box see our listing for part number 272235S which is Green and fits the metal box. Dimensions 130mm by 73mm by 30mm as it fits into the filter box. Please note that although these filters are foam filters they are made from a specific foam that is designed to withstand the repeated stresses put on them as the engine is sucking air through them. The holes in the foam are the correct size to filter the dirt without causing an undue restriction to the air flow. The foam is also unaffected by oil and petrol. Cheap 3rd party filters are not guaranteed to be made of the correct materials leading to incorrect fit or premature failure letting dirt into your expensive engine and possibly causing it to fail. Dirt ingress is the quickest way to destroy any engine! Please Note these parts are sent vacuum packed to reduce your costs. Please carefully cut the packaging away from the filter and they will expand to their original size within a few minutes.
