British Anzani Ride On Mower

A very rare and functional example of this 60 s mower. The mower has been re engined with a 3.5hp Briggs Stratton. I have fitted a new plug, carb gaskets, and generally tidied it up. The petrol tank is a dummy as the B S has it s own. It runs very well. The roller under the saddle is a replacement as the bearings were shot when I got the mower. There is a picture of the 3 old drums. I had a new roller made with roller bearings on a solid shaft. A purist might repair the old drums? The front roller had woodworm, so again I had a nylon one made. The saddle is in good shape and even has the little saddle bag. Rare for one of these is the original cutter lift device. It s there and it works. The grass collector is taken from a pattern of an original and is in plywood. It works so well, I have not got round to making a steel or ally one. It s proof of concept. I thinks it looks quite good, and you will see from the image, it s collects grass - perfect! All the covers are there, but I prefer to see the dangerous bits flying around. No one s going to buy this unless you know what it is, but just in case - it s scary. No brakes, exposed belts and chains. You have to lean it in corners like a motor cycle, and it s a bit of a work out. I am not going to give this away. I paid a good bit for it and then more on getting it working.
