Qualcast 1600w Electric Rotary Mower

Hi! Here we have a very powerful Qualcast 1600w electric mower I bought from Argos 6 months ago but lost receipt, I used 5/6 times in total, but when I used it last on very long grass it started to make a funny noise and a bit of smoke came out of it, so I m unsure what is wrong with it, surely someone with some electric knowledge can fix, it does run but very funny noise and slow when turn on, can be seen working, thanks!
