Mtd Lawnflite 404 Ride / Sit On Mower

This is my MTD Lawnflite 404 ride on mower. It is a good runner and has recently been serviced, with a brand new starter motor, Bosch battery (and one spare) and drive belt. It had 2 new front tyres last year. It has a Briggs Stratton petrol engine that runs well. Now some downsides: The seat is ripped (as in the photos), it s been outside a lot so rust has set in on the chassis and cutting deck. Some has rusted through the rest is surface rust that has been slowed by poorly applied black and red paint (it was painted to protect it rather than make it beautiful!). The belts probably need some adjustment (or the new drive belt needs to bed in) as they whine a bit and turn the blades when the engine is being start making for a slow turnover cold start. If I had time to tinker with it I would! I ve just used it all weekend and it s running great. Any questions do ask. I ve tried to be as exhaustive in this description as possible, but I am bound to have missed bits. Please don t buy this thinking it s a newish or beautful mower - it s an old workhorse.
