Mcculloch Hornet Ride On Mower

McCulloch Hornet Ride on Mower, manufactured by Swedish company Husqvarna. Great little machine, 3 forward gears, 1 reverse, adjustable cutting height, manoeuvrable and easy to use. Complete with good capacity collection box. It is however in need of some repairs, mostly to the cutting deck. Petrol engine, has electronic and pull start options. Engine starts and runs fine, usually on first pull. Has electronic ignition but the battery will not charge so needs replacing. Started fine with key when the battery was good. All gears operational. Steering and tyres good. Cutting deck needs attention and is currently not operational. Needs deck height adjusting, pulleys aligning, new drive belt etc etc etc. Hence for sale on spares or repairs basis only. I had the machine looked at by an engineer, they quoted me around £150 to get the machine back to being fully operational, this included parts and labour, presumably not including the dreaded VAT! I can t remember every item he told me needed for repair, but it is mostly to do with the cutting deck. I cannot guarantee this cost, another engineer may estimate lower or higher cost. I am selling rather than repairing as I have recently moved from a house with the best part of an acre of grass to one with none and it is therefore surplus to requirements. If you are able to carry out repairs yourself then it could be a low cost machine. It is in original condition, no repainting or refurbishing so you can see from the pictures that it is in good condition for its age. I have owned and used the machine for three years, it has been stored in a shed when not in use. Collection only I m afraid as I do not have the means to deliver this item.
