Briggs & Stratton 12hp I/c Spec Engine, Suit Ride On Mower

Hi and welcome to my auction for a 12 Hp I/C spec Briggs Stratton engine. It has just been serviced, carb cleaned and tuned, fresh oil etc so is running faultlessly and is ready to be put to work. It has great compression and turns over nicely, starting first time and dosen t smoke even from cold. It ticks over smoothly and then revs well without hunting thanks to having the better model of carburettor which responds better to tuning in comparison to those fitted to the red cowling engines. In my opinion these black block engines a far better build quality than the red cowl ones, they run a lot smoother and have a better range in the revs, a point proven by every cheap ride on having a red engine but then look at a good quality one such as an Atco or Countax and it ll have a black one. There is some chips/flaking of the paint on the cowling and block but nothing that will affect the performance any way. It recently came out of a Husqvana ride on mower with a rotten deck, the guy I bought it off had owned it from new an had it maintained and serviced meticulously by his local dealership, it had a brand new starter motor earlier this year as the plastic gear broke on the original so he decided to just do the whole lot, so it has been looked after very well. I ve sold lots of these engines in the past but this one has to be one of the smoothest runners, it ran for a good 15mins today without missing a beat so there s no problems there (pic 6). I have listed postage as £22 which is for UK mainland delivery, (if you live in the outer hebrideas etc it will be more) but you are more than welcome to arrange you re own courier if you can get it cheaper. I can often arrange free delivery in the north of Scotland, ie Dundee, Perth, Aberdeen/shire, Inverness etc but please just ask prior to auction end just to make sure I can get it to you rather than just assuming.
